Tajikistan is not being recruited in 2026; Kazakhstan and Ukraine — returnees only. Base rate — £12.71/hour (NMW 2026). Work through Pro-Force is physical outdoor labour. Picking berries requires long bending, work on cabbage involves lifting heavy loads. Poultry processing is indoor work at low temperature. You must be ready for hard work.
Farms and cropsBerries, cabbage, poultry
Pro-Force places workers in two main sectors: horticulture and poultry. It is one of the few operators working in both areas.
| Crop / sector | Season | What you do | Regions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Soft fruit (strawberries, raspberries) | May — September | Picking, sorting, packing | Kent, Herefordshire |
| Cabbage and brassica | June — November | Picking, trimming, packing | Lincolnshire, East Anglia |
| Poultry processing | October — December | Processing, packing, cutting | Various regions |
You will be told the specific farm and type of work after your interview. You do not choose the farm yourself. If your farm has few hours — contact the Pro-Force coordinator and ask for a transfer.
Farms are in rural areas. Public transport is limited. Some farms provide transport to the nearest town, but not all. Keep this in mind when planning.
How to applyStep by step from registration to visaFree
Applying through Pro-Force is free. The operator is not allowed to charge for placement. Your only costs are: visa (£340) and flight ticket.
- Go to the migration service in your own country — UZ: migration.uz, KG: migrant.kg. Do not look for a "Pro-Force application form" — it does not exist; selection is done through the operator's visiting sessions.
- Take the test and an in-person interview — Pro-Force runs interviews in your country (Tashkent, Bukhara, Bishkek).
- Receive a job offer — the operator will choose a farm and send a contract with conditions. Read it carefully before signing: crop, region, dates, rate, housing conditions.
- Get a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) — an electronic document from the operator for your visa application. The CoS number will come by email.
- Apply for the visa online — on gov.uk, section "Apply for a Seasonal Worker visa". Pay £340. IHS is not charged for visas up to 6 months.
- Give your biometrics — at a visa centre in your country (TLS Contact or VFS Global). A decision usually comes within 3 weeks.
- Buy your flight ticket after visa approval — do not buy earlier. Cost from Tashkent: £300–600.
If anyone asks for money for a place on a farm — it is fraud. The operator does not charge for placement. The only legal costs are: visa £340 + flight ticket. Report fraudsters to the GLAA helpline: 0800 432 0804.
All genuine Pro-Force email comes only from @pro-force.co.uk addresses. The company's own Russian-language page is out of date (2024 prices) — check against the English visa-information page.
What workers sayReviews, investigations, problemsInvestigation exists
The topics below are based on public posts in r/uk, r/AskUK and Telegram channel @uksezon from 2023–2026, as well as public investigations. These are representative opinions, not individual quotes with attribution.
Trustpilot
On Trustpilot Pro-Force has 1 review with a rating of 3.2 out of 5 (checked April 2026). One review is a statistically meaningless sample. Do not draw conclusions from a single review. The review describes a communication problem after the end of a shift.
Bureau of Investigative Journalism investigation (2023)
In March 2023 the Bureau of Investigative Journalism published an investigation "They treat you like an animal", in which Pro-Force was mentioned as one of the operators that refused to transfer workers to other farms when problems arose. Workers reported rude treatment by farm supervisors and pressure not to complain.
This investigation covered systemic problems of the whole Seasonal Worker scheme, not only Pro-Force. Nevertheless, being mentioned in the investigation is a fact you should consider.
Positive themes
Workers from Central Asia note that selection through the state services is clear and needs no middlemen. Some workers return for repeat seasons.
Negative themes
Main complaints: not enough working hours at the start and end of the season, difficulty transferring to another farm, quality of housing on some farms. Some workers report pressure from farm supervisors.
Overall picture
Pro-Force is a medium-sized operator focused on Central Asia. The mention in the Bureau investigation is a serious signal, but not a final judgment. If problems arise — contact the Pro-Force coordinator. If that does not help — GLAA helpline: 0800 432 0804.
How much you earnSalary, costs, net earnings£12.71/hour
The scheme rate in 2026 is the same for every age — £12.71 per hour (a sponsor guidance requirement). Some farms pay more than the minimum for piece rate work, but the guaranteed minimum is always £12.71.
| Parameter | Value | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Scheme rate (all ages) | £12.71/hour | NMW 2026, guaranteed minimum |
| Working hours | 30–48 hours/week | Depends on season and harvest |
| Gross salary (6 months) | £8,300–13,200 | At 30–48 h/week × 26 weeks |
| Tax + NI | ~£1,200–2,800 | Part can be refunded through P85 |
| Housing | up to £77.70/week (statutory maximum) | Accommodation offset; deducted from salary |
| Visa | £340 | One-time payment |
| Flight ticket | £300–600 | Tashkent–London |
| Net earnings (6 months) | £4,800–9,500 | After all costs |
Salary is paid weekly or every two weeks into a UK bank account. Open a Revolut or Wise account before you arrive — it is free and takes 5 minutes. After the season you can claim back overpaid tax through gov.uk (typical refund: £1,000–2,500, free).
Housing and living conditionsCaravans, dormitories, cost
Housing is arranged by the operator or the farm. Usually it is caravans (mobile homes) or dormitories on the farm site. Cost: up to £77.70/week (the statutory maximum, accommodation offset), deducted from salary.
Standard conditions: bed with bedding, shared kitchen, shared showers and toilets. Rooms are usually for 2–6 people. Wi-Fi is not available on all farms. Housing quality depends on the specific farm — it varies from acceptable to poor.
If conditions do not meet standards — tell the Pro-Force coordinator. If that does not help — GLAA helpline: 0800 432 0804.
Your passport must stay with you. If anyone takes your passport — that is a criminal offence (Modern Slavery Act 2015). Call: Modern Slavery Helpline 08000 121 700 (free, 24/7) or police 999.

Season 2027 — what we knowApplications are not open yet
Pro-Force has not opened applications for the 2027 season yet. The UK government has not announced the quota for 2027, but the scheme itself has been extended to 2029. In past years operators opened applications in autumn or winter, and returning workers got their invitations before new candidates.
What you can do right now: check how long your passport is valid, start saving money for the visa and the flight, get your documents ready, and watch the operator's official website. Any "paid registration for 2027" is a scam — operators do not sell places.
